Produced only in those vintages conducive to the ‘rimage’ expression, the Domaine du Mas Blanc Banyuls Rimage 1988 (100% Grenache noir) comes from the upper slopes of the domaine's famed Les Junquets vineyard, where yields are typically just 18-22 hl/ha. Hand-harvested and trodden by foot, the wine was fermented in stainless steel tank with native yeasts, aging for eight months in large demi-muid prior to bottling.

A small portion of its production was set aside for inclusion in the estate’s library of its most important wines, a practice inaugurated by Dr. André Parcé in 1947. Sotolon Selections teamed with third-generation winemaker Jean-Michel Parcé in assessing each bottle, the best of which were given fresh cork and included in the Domaine du Mas Blanc legacy project.
