This is medium bodied, aromatic and very fresh red wine for pretty much any season - but it’s especially good for autumn.
This is a blend of bobal and mareselan (two amazing vareities for a warm climate) and is made by the unbelievably talented Mariano Taberner of Bodega Cueva.
Mariano’s wines are influenced by the mediterranean sun, but even more so by the incredible limestone soil here just west of Valencia. The nights and winter are also very cool (winter is freezing) and as a result the wines always lovely colour and lots of flavour but without heaviness - it’s a every special place to grown wine.
Serve this at about 14-16C. It’s very pure, supple but fresh, and a real pleasure to drink.
